Help change lives as a Housing Support Worker with e4c. This role is focused on supporting the homeless towards long-lasting housing stability and personal well-being.
As a Housing Support Worker in the Adult Housing Supports program, your mission is to assist participants in achieving self-sufficiency through personalized planning and community resource connections. You'll utilize a trauma-informed approach to advocate for essential services and support clients in navigating their paths to independence. Collaboration with Homeward Trust and the Government of Alberta enhances the impact of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist participants in securing and maintaining housing
• Foster goal-setting and life skills development
• Connect clients to income and healthcare resources
• Advocate against barriers with landlords and services
• Deliver direct care and crisis support when needed
Requirements:
• Degree in Human Services or similar field
• Minimum of 2 years experience with vulnerable communities
• Familiarity with social work and trauma issues
• Class 5 Driver’s License and valid insurance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
