McMan Community Outreach Worker Position

Location: Wetaskiwin

Become an Outreach Worker with McMan in Wetaskiwin, focusing on youth protection and community education. This full-time role centers on providing essential services and advocacy for at-risk populations.

The Outreach Worker role in McMan’s Protection of Sexually Exploited Children Program is critical in supporting children and youth in need. You will utilize a strength-based approach and collaborate with families to create awareness and facilitate access to resources. Your community presence is vital advocating for youth rights and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work from a strength-based approach

• Educate families on PSECA rights

• Facilitate access to community support

• Conduct workshops and community presentations

• Document records per PSECA standards

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in Human Services required

• 3 years of family work experience preferred

• Clean Class 5 Driver’s License needed

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture is an asset

• Certification in Basic First Aid Level C
