Housing Support Worker

Join Bissell Centre's Housing Services team, bringing your expertise to empower individuals facing poverty and housing instability. You will support 2-8 participants monthly in finding suitable housing, develop personalized Housing Plans, and perform assertive outreach as needed. The role involves community travel, delivering services in various settings for optimal support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Target and connect with 2-8 participants monthly

• Develop personalized Housing Plans for individuals/families

• Conduct assertive outreach to engage participants

• Deliver support in homes, community, and at the agency

• Travel within the community to facilitate programming

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Social Science or related field

• 3+ years of relevant experience

• Valid Alberta Class 5 License and vehicle

• Knowledge of poverty, homelessness, and mental health issues

• Experience with community resource referrals
