The Cultural Coordinator role is dedicated to ensuring culturally relevant practices for children-in-care and their families. You'll act as a mentor, advocate, and connector of traditions, engaging youth in meaningful cultural activities that reinforce their identity. Your work will enrich community connections and enhance the overall support system for Indigenous youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Share knowledge and mentorship on ceremonies
• Foster culturally appropriate services for at-risk youth
• Connect children in care with their traditions
• Assist the FWB Team with cultural integration
• Coordinate and organize cultural events and teachings
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Work or related field
• Experience engaging with children and families
• Facilitation skills in community and group settings
• Profound knowledge of Anishinabek culture and language
• Ability to manage confidential information effectively
