Recreation Therapy Aide

Enhance lives as a Recreation Therapy Aide at Good Samaritan Choice-Zetter Program in Edmonton. This casual role offers weekday hours focused on providing tailored recreation programs for residents.

We are seeking a qualified Recreation Therapy Aide to facilitate dynamic recreation programming that aligns with residents’ individual goals. You will support, supervise, and direct volunteers while ensuring safe and effective programming for our geriatric and disabled populations. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored recreation activities for residents

• Provide direction and support for volunteers during programs

• Ensure safety and effectiveness of recreational programming

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team for program success

• Foster engagement while respecting residents’ individual needs

Requirements:

• Diploma in recreation therapy or equivalent

• Two years’ experience in Continuing Care or Community Care

• Valid Class IV driver's license and First Aid certificate

• Clear Criminal Records Check and tuberculosis screening

• Computer proficiency and Food Safe certification
