Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, a dedicated non-profit organization, seeks an assertive outreach worker to engage with BIPOC populations in Edmonton. You will aid individuals transitioning from incarceration by developing release plans and connecting them with essential resources. Strong relationship-building is crucial in this role as you work alongside police and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build rapport with high-risk clients and families
• Assist in client release plans and reintegration
• Provide access to community resources for clients
• Conduct crisis intervention and safety planning
• Advocate for clients’ basic needs
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Human Services
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and vulnerable populations
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Valid driver's license and insurance is essential
