This full-time role will engage you with Indigenous and Non-Indigenous individuals, assessing their needs and facilitating connections to crucial services within Edmonton's Transit system. You will play an important role in delivering trauma-informed responses while ensuring that community members receive necessary support and information.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide street-based outreach services in transit areas
• Assess and determine community needs effectively
• Ensure all referrals are supported and followed up
• Gather resources and participate in community events
• Collaborate with service providers for better outreach
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Human Services or equivalence
• At least 2 years' street outreach experience
• Exceptional communication skills in diverse settings
• Good knowledge of Indigenous cultures and languages
• Background check required for vulnerable populations
