Part Time Community Outreach Worker

Support families in crisis as a part-time Community Outreach Worker with Catholic Social Services in Edmonton. This role involves client-centered assistance, crisis intervention, and housing support.

Your role will provide essential support through needs assessments, housing stability assistance, and follow-up care. You will also contribute to workshops and community resource connections, ensuring families have the support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess needs and ensure safety for families in the shelter

• Assist clients in overcoming housing barriers

• Provide three months of follow-up support post-shelter

• Develop service plans and document client progress

• Collaborate on workshops and community events as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-year Diploma/Degree in Human Services

• At least 2 years of related professional experience

• Knowledge of harm reduction and crisis intervention

• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
