Community Support Worker at Parkland School Division

Contribute to student success by joining Parkland School Division as a Division Community Support Worker in Stony Plain, Alberta. This part-time role emphasizes collaboration, family support, and community resource navigation.

In this regular 10-month, part-time position, you will collaborate with families and students from Early Education to Grade 12. Your main responsibility will be to provide tiered support as guided by the Division Family Support Coordinator. This essential role connects families with vital community services while ensuring a strong focus on emotional resilience and student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely connection to community supports for families

• Coordinate meetings and inter-agency consultations as needed

• Support families in developing independence in accessing resources

• Facilitate workshops and information sessions for parents

• Maintain accurate records and report updates to leadership

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in human/social service field

• 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred

• Knowledge of inter-agency relationships

• Familiarity with Tiered Response Models

• Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
