At Kikosewin, you will serve as a resource for Indigenous children and families, ensuring they have access to cultural programs and mentorship. Your primary tasks include planning cultural events, facilitating traditional activities, and supporting families receiving intensive services. This innovative role emphasizes the importance of culture and community integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead ceremonies and land-based teachings
• Facilitate traditional skill development, like beading
• Provide in-home cultural mentorship to families
• Collaborate with Elders for cultural guidance
• Keep accurate cultural documentation for service needs
Requirements:
• Relevant Human Services degree or diploma
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of facilitation experience
• Strong understanding of Indigenous traditions
• Valid driver’s license and liability insurance
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
