Career Development Coach - Métis Focus

Support career advancement as a Job Coach at Otipemisiwak Métis Government in Edmonton. Help clients navigate their employment journey with personalized strategies and community resources.

This role is a full-time, one-year contract focusing on career development services. You will work closely with clients to screen for employment readiness, develop action plans, and assist in skills assessment.

Your role will include creating training materials and facilitating workshops, while fostering partnerships within the community and job market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish rapport with clients and assess job readiness

• Tailor individual action plans to client career goals

• Provide interview preparation and resume development support

• Liaise with employers about job opportunities

• Document client interactions and outcomes thoroughly

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in employment services

• Relevant educational background in social services or related fields

• Familiarity with Indigenous employment challenges

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• Willingness to travel for community engagement
