Adapt Abilities is seeking a dedicated Community Specialist for its In-Home Program. This permanent position requires you to support an adult participant in their West Edmonton home, working varied shifts throughout the month. Candidates should align with core values while addressing personal care, building relationships and promoting accessibility in daily life. The role requires effective communication with individuals and team members to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct care and purposeful support
• Foster genuine relationships with participants
• Empower individuals to achieve personal goals
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Support personal hygiene and care needs
Requirements:
• High School Diploma; experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Clear police and intervention checks
• First Aid Certification CPR Level C required
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention knowledge is an asset
