Seasonal Disability Support Worker

Make a positive impact as a Seasonal Disability Support Worker with Adapt Abilities in Edmonton's Hearts in Action Summer Camp. This full-time position involves delivering meaningful support and programming aimed at children and youth with disabilities.

As a Community Specialist II, your role will emphasize facilitating inclusion and fostering relationships that empower individuals. You will craft adaptable programs that inspire growth and community belonging amidst diverse needs and challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging and purposeful support directly to participants

• Implement tailored behaviour and support plans

• Encourage inclusion through fun and meaningful activities

• Build relationships that promote respect and dignity

• Document care activities and participant progress professionally

Requirements:

• High School Diploma with relevant experience

• At least 2-3 years working with youth with disabilities

• Capacity to manage complex behaviours effectively

• Required CPR Level C and First Aid Certification

• Police checks mandatory upon employment
