Trauma Informed Youth Care Worker

Support children and youth in Edmonton through trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, mentorship, and steady relationship building. Full-time schedules rotate across days, evenings, or awake overnights.

As a Child and Youth Care Worker, you will provide individualized support for complex behavioural, emotional, and trauma-related needs. You will build trusted relationships, model healthy boundaries, and help youth navigate difficult emotions. The work includes therapeutic engagement, documentation, and collaboration with Program Supervisors on individualized plans.

• Build trust through play, mentorship, and consistent presence
• Guide youth through crises using intervention strategies
• Teach coping skills and model healthy boundaries
• Document daily activities and observations carefully
• Collaborate on individualized therapeutic plans

• Passion for complex behavioural and emotional youth needs
• Patience, compassion, and calmness during difficult situations
• Knowledge or willingness to learn trauma-informed care
• Alberta Class 5 Driver's License and reliable four-door vehicle
• Required checks, First Aid, CPR, and insurance coverage
