Join Youth Unlimited Edmonton as a Relationship Builder, engaging youth at a crucial time in their lives. This volunteer role is dedicated to providing supportive presence and guidance.
In this position, you will foster open communication with young people, allowing them to share their experiences with a trusted adult. Your focus will be on creating a safe space where students can talk about their challenges and aspirations. The role demands both availability and dedication to nurturing long-lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build meaningful connections through conversations
• Offer a compassionate adult presence for guidance
• Maintain follow-through on previous discussions
• Communicate with YU team about youth needs
• Prepare and clean up drop-in space
Requirements:
• Attend drop-in sessions at least once a week
• Participate in team training and appreciation events
• Passion for empowering youth through relationships
• Ability to provide consistent adult support
• Willingness to adapt and learn in the role
