Job Description
Our client in the Media & Entertainment sector is seeking an Intermediate-Senior Roku Developer to support the continued development of a large consumer streaming application on the Roku platform.
The team recently rebuilt their Roku application as part of a major platform modernization effort. With the new architecture now in place, the focus is shifting toward continued feature development, UI enhancements, performance optimization, and expansion of the streaming experience.
This role will join a small, collaborative development team and contribute across the full Roku application stack, including UI development, media playback functionality, backend integrations, and application performance improvements.
Responsibilities
Develop and enhance Roku applications using BrightScript / Brighter Script Build and improve UI components and application featuresSupport video playback functionality within streaming applicationsIntegrate backend APIs and servicesContribute to performance optimization and application stabilityParticipate in testing and validation of application functionalityCollaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams on feature deliveryMust-Have Skills
3-4+ years of Roku development experienceStrong experience with BrightScript or Brighter Script Experience building or supporting streaming or media applicationsExperience working with video or audio playersAbility to contribute across UI development, API integration, and performance improvementsInterview Process
1) Take-home technical assignment (problem-based task)
2) Technical + behavioural interview (1.5 hours)
