Position: Intermediate to Senior AI Application Developer to support the design, development, and implementation of an Agentic
Our post-secondary client is seeking an Intermediate to Senior AI Application Developer to support the design, development, and implementation of an Agentic AI–enabled maintenance assistant application within a facilities and enterprise asset management environment (Hybrid, Edmonton AB).
Overview:
The successful consultant will work alongside internal teams to design and build an AI-driven assistant that supports facilities maintenance planning and operational decision-making. The resource will help structure maintenance and asset data, design an Agentic AI architecture leveraging RAG methodologies, and integrate the solution with enterprise asset management systems via APIs.
Must-Haves:
5+ years of software or application development experienceHands-on experience developing AI / Generative AI applicationsExperience designing or implementing RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) architecturesExperience developing Agentic AI or AI-driven decision support systemsExperience integrating applications with enterprise systems via APIsExperience working with data preparation, structuring, and analysis for AI/ML use casesNice-to-Haves:
Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platformsExperience developing solutions within facilities management, asset management, or operational environmentsMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplineExperience working within large public-sector or enterprise environmentsResponsibilities:
Design and develop an Agentic AI architecture for a facilities maintenance assistantPrepare, structure, and analyze facilities and maintenance data for AI model ingestionDevelop an AI assistant capable of providing maintenance planning insights and operational recommendationsIntegrate the AI application with enterprise systems (e.g., CMMS) via APIsParticipate in solution design discussions, architecture reviews, and development planningCollaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and refine solution capabilitiesSupport testing, refinement, and documentation of the AI applicationEnsure adherence to development methodologies and best practices
