Intermediate Data Engineer

Become an integral part of the Government of Alberta as an Intermediate Data Engineer, focusing on the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS). This primarily remote role requires occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton while shaping scalable Azure data platforms.

The Government of Alberta seeks a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data solutions crucial to regulatory reporting and compliance. In this position, you'll utilize Azure technologies and tools to create analytics-ready datasets, ensuring data governance and security, while supporting future AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design scalable Azure data architecture for hybrid environments

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure services

• Develop workflows using Python (PySpark) and SQL

• Integrate data from various sources like Service Now

• Implement data governance and optimize data pipelines

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 1+ year with AI-driven code automation

• 3+ years creating analytics-ready platforms

• 4+ years with Git Hub/Git

• 5+ years using Python and SQL for ETL
