Platform Services Engineer

Position: Platform Services Engineer at IBM
Enhance developer productivity at IBM Software as a Senior Software Engineer. Work on innovative internal platform services and improve overall engineering velocity in a collaborative environment.

This role is designed for a driven engineer who enjoys platform services and complex system challenges. You'll be a vital part of the Developer Productivity (Dev Prod) team, responsible for designing, building, and operating solutions that enhance developer experience. Collaborating with peers, you will take ownership of impactful projects that drive efficiency and reliability in service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage multi-tenant internal developer services

• Improve pre-production testing and performance capabilities

• Integrate AI-assisted workflows into developer practices

• Frame project problems and collaborate on solutions

• Participate in mentoring and advancing engineering culture

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field

• Minimum 5 years in software engineering of cloud platforms

• Strong skills in Java, Go, and Python

• Experience in code reviews and mentoring engineers

• Track record in operational management and incident response
