We’re currently hiring for an Inbound Coordinator for our Edmonton Shipping department. In this role, you will manage and optimize inbound logistics for raw materials and supplies in manufacturing and distribution operations. This role coordinates with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams to ensure shipments are planned, tracked, and delivered on time, while proactively resolving issues, mitigating risks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

On any given day, the Inbound Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Overseeing inbound shipments via air, ocean, and ground, optimizing routes and schedules to reduce costs and transit times.
  • Tracking transportation performance, resolving delays or discrepancies, and minimizing demurrage/detention costs.
  • Collaborating with warehouse, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure smooth receiving and inventory management.
  • Maintaining accurate system records, monitoring shipment status, and generating reports on KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight costs, and vendor performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with trade regulations, customs documentation, HS codes, and safety standards, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • This role requires proactive problem-solving, strong supplier relationship management, and attention to detail to keep the supply chain running efficiently.

  • High school diploma required;
    Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 4-6 years’ experience in inbound logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination.
  • Strong understanding of logistics principles, customs regulations, and international shipping (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills; able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and collaborative, building strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and customers while upholding company standards.
