Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Provide professionalism in customer service.
• Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations.
• Load and unload goods.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.

• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Driver logbook documentation knowledge.
• Driving record check (abstract).
• Experience:
  
  7 months to less than 1 year.

• Own transportation.
• Willing to travel overnight.
• Handle heavy loads, more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Have personal tools:
  Cellular phone, steel-toed safety boots, safety vest, gloves.
• Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, organized, hardworking, patient.
• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Available for shift or on-call work.
• Live near the job location.

• Early morning, evening, night, on call, day, weekend, other.
