About the RoleReady Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to job sites within the Medicine Hat area, homeowner and industry clients. In this role you will be responsible for customer relationships, delivering high-level service with a friendly attitude to ensure customers receive a quality product from Amrize. This is a customer-facing role that requires a service-oriented mindset and a highly professional approach.
What You’ll Accomplish- Maintain equipment by performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections and keeping the vehicle clean inside and out.
- Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in the assigned geography; own customer satisfaction.
- Provide consistent and reliable customer service through delivery and maintain a positive, hassle-free experience for Amrize customers.
- Navigate around the city of Medicine Hat and surrounding areas to maintain on-time deliveries.
- Maintain strong working relationships with logistics and operations teams as well as fellow operators.
- Have a flexible schedule; may require different shifts and be available on weekends and/or evenings.
- Understand traffic rules and regulations for commercial vehicles and be courteous on the road.
- Operate electronic devices (tablets, GPS, etc.).
- Participate in the Amrize Ready Mix Training Program.
- Commit to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas; promote a culture of safety.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required).

Certifications:
Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q with a 5-year driver’s abstract (REQUIRED to be sent with resume). - Work Experience: Preference given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience; understanding of building materials is an asset.
- Additional Requirements: Ability to drive a manual transmission truck; construction and off-road experience is an asset; knowledge of Medicine Hat; strong English communication skills; ability to use electronic devices (tablets); relationship-building with external customers and internal Amrize personnel; problem solving and decision making; multitasking in a fast-paced environment; strong teamwork; ability to lift > 50 lbs.
