Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Will train for required driving and safety procedures
- Various locations
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Pay and receive payments for goods
- Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarp goods and ensure safety and security of cargo
- Maintain documentation knowledge
- Accident or incident reports
- Driver logbook
- Inspection reports (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip)
- Tractor‑trailer trucks
- Transportation/travel experience required (international, long‑haul, national)
- Attention to detail
- Weight handling: up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
