Tasks Load and unload goods
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo
Transport and handle dangerous goods
Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses Driver's License (Class 1 or
A)
Documentation knowledge
Accident or incident reports
Bill of lading
Dangerous goods occurrence reports
Driver logbook
Inspection report (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip)

Job Responsibilities Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes
Support for Newcomers and Refugees Participates in a government or community programme that supports newcomers and/or refugees
Assists with immediate settlement needs (housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.)
Supports social and labour market integration (facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)
Recruits newcomers and/or refugees displaced by conflict or natural disaster (Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)
Supports foreign credential recognition
Offers mentorship programmes pairing newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
Provides diversity and cross‑cultural training to create a welcoming work environment
Support for Indigenous People Participates in a government or community programme that supports Indigenous people
Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
