LRT Track Maintainer

The City of Edmonton is seeking two LRT Track Maintainers for full-time, temporary positions. Responsibilities include rail maintenance activities such as repairing rail defects, track alignment, and cleaning station areas. Candidates will engage in manual labor under various weather conditions and may work night shifts depending on seniority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair rail tracks effectively

• Perform track lining, lifting, and rail grinding

• Clean switch points and manage right-of-way

• Monitor and report track infrastructure deficiencies

• Manage material transport and inventory

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 10 and 12 education

• Experience in rail maintenance or construction

• Knowledge of maintenance methods and tools

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license with Air Brakes

• Pass a pre-employment Functional Abilities Assessment
