Transload Operator Position

Join Standard General as a Rail Transload Operator, based in Acheson, AB. Your primary focus will be on the safe and efficient loading/unloading of materials during the operational season.

The Rail Transload Operator plays a vital role in the movement of rail cars and complies with safety standards. This seasonal, full-time role runs typically from April to November, and may involve traveling to various locations. You will perform locomotive inspections, communicate effectively and promote safety procedures, contributing to overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively promote safety programs and initiatives

• Safely operate locomotives and perform inspections

• Utilize air-actuated doors for unloading tasks

• Collaborate with crew members for train movement

• Follow General Operating Instructions diligently

Requirements:

• Experience in the Rail Industry as a Locomotive Operator

• Required CROR qualification

• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License

• Knowledge of Distributed Power preferred

• Compliance with pre-employment safety testing
