Fleet Maintenance Supervisor Position

Reporting to the Superintendent of Transit Fleet Maintenance, this full-time role involves overseeing daily maintenance procedures for over 1,000 buses. You will manage human resources and ensure high operational standards, contributing to the overall vision of City Operations. Key skills needed include financial management, leadership, and excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with team members and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily fleet maintenance for safety and efficiency
• Manage an $8-12 million budget and resources effectively
• Lead up to 90+ staff in a 24/7 operational environment
• Develop and implement safety and security protocols
• Foster strong client relations with Edmonton Transit
Requirements:
• Journeyman Certification in Heavy Duty or related field
• Leadership experience in a unionized maintenance facility
• Proficient in financial and operational management
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license required
Ensure the efficient maintenance of transit services, while leading a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality public transport solutions.
