Support Leduc County’s infrastructure as a Light Equipment Operator, engaged in vital road maintenance and operational tasks, including winter night driving responsibilities.
In the role of Light Equipment Operator with Leduc County, you will contribute significantly to the operations team by ensuring the upkeep of municipal roads. This position offers a diverse range of tasks, from operating light equipment to inspecting and reporting on road conditions during winter. Your ability to adapt to varying operational needs will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute road repairs and maintain municipal facilities
• Clear debris from roads and right-of-ways
• Operate tractors, skid steers, and other light equipment
• Conduct nighttime road inspections in winter months
• Support shop mechanics in maintenance operations
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s license needed
• Familiarity with operational and mechanical tasks
• General equipment-handling skills required
• Preferably, a high school diploma
• Class 3 license and heavy equipment experience is a plus
