Strathcona County seeks an Active Transportation Advisor to lead transportation plans, policies, and infrastructure initiatives that enhance community mobility. This collaborative role involves working with departments, community organizations, and stakeholders to promote safe, inclusive, and connected transportation options. In this role, you will advocate for pedestrian, cycling, and rolling solutions that improve accessibility for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Active Transportation strategies

• Manage transportation plans and collaborate with partners

• Pursue grant funding for mobility initiatives

• Oversee public engagement and consultation projects

• Review infrastructure plans for safety and compliance

Requirements:

• Degree in Transportation Planning or related field

• Five years’ experience in municipal transportation

• Knowledge of active transportation and traffic safety

• Strong communication and facilitation skills

• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License
