This casual position offers rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call availability, expected to end by December 2026. Candidates with lane closure experience or those familiar with traffic control devices will excel in this role. Your main duty will be to implement safe work areas for contractors and to manage traffic detours effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and remove barricades and pylons
• Manage lane closures during work operations
• Operate vehicles including flatbed trucks and trailers
• Navigate effectively throughout the City of Edmonton
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
• One year of traffic control experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driving abstract
• Ability to lift between 50 to 75 pounds
• Own vehicle to commute to work location
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
