This driver position, reporting to the Recreation Manager, ensures safe transport for residents during outings and medical appointments. You are expected to assist residents with disabilities and provide a supportive environment.

Your role impacts their quality of life by promoting independence while adhering to safety standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate company vehicle safely and within traffic laws

• Transport residents to medical and recreational appointments

• Assist residents during boarding and exiting the vehicle

• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance reports

• Maintain accurate records of trips and fuel usage

Requirements:

• Valid Class 4 driver’s license with a clear abstract

• Active CPR and First Aid certification

• Experience with larger vehicles like vans or shuttles

• Knowledge of safe-lifting techniques and mobility equipment

• Ability to assist residents with varying cognitive abilities
