School Transportation Route Supervisor

Oversee school transportation routes and dispatch operations while coordinating drivers, schedules, and safe daily service. Work in an office and bus yard environment with occasional travel.
As a Route Supervisor, you will coordinate daily operations with the Location Manager, dispatch team, drivers, and maintenance staff. The position supports driver performance, customer service, safety compliance, route scheduling, and prompt issue resolution. First Student operates across a family of transportation brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise transportation operations and monitor route performance
Coordinate assignments, vehicle availability, driver coverage, and schedules
Coach drivers and support training, development, and performance improvement
Resolve service disruptions, driver concerns, and transportation issues
Prepare operational reports and support maintenance coordination
Requirements:
One to three years of supervisory or management experience
Understanding of route scheduling, dispatch, and transportation operations
Knowledge of Ontario safety regulations and Highway Traffic Act
Leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
Appropriate driver's licence or licences as required
Bring route coordination, driver coaching, and safety compliance expertise to First Student's daily school transportation operations.
