Summary
This role is a Full-Time, In-Office position based at our Edmonton location. The Warehouse Worker will be a key team member that efficiently contributes to the warehouse operations by ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and shipping of goods. The Warehouse worker will also maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to safety protocols, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the warehouse team and the company as a whole.

Principal Accountabilities

Must have a Forklift or Reach truck License/designation

Loading and unloading courier and freight trucks

Picking orders using the RF scanner

Checking orders for accuracy

Packing orders in boxes or on skids so that they are ready to ship

Creating shipments and/or weigh bills for the couriers and trucks

Receiving products using the RF scanners and Business Central ERP

Finding a bin for the product on the shelves

Communicating with both purchasing and CSR/sales reps for any discrepancies using both e-mail and phone when necessary

Keeping your work area and the rest of the warehouse clean and tidy

Labelling products and shelves within the warehouse

Moving products to different areas in the warehouse

Take out garbage and recycling

Cutting tubing and wiring to correct lengths

Inventory counts

Cycle counts

Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred

Basic math and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks), knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to lift and move objects.

Must present and communicate in a professional manner.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Must be organized.

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals.

A positive attitude is essential.

Key Working Relationships

Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisors and managers to receive instructions, updates, and guidance on daily tasks and priorities.

Work closely with fellow warehouse workers as part of a team to achieve daily operational goals.

Work in coordination with Sales and Customer Service Representatives to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.

Adhere to safe protocols and guidelines established by the Joint Health and Safety Committee and the Safety Officer.
