Responsibilities Perform all functions necessary for the safe, secure and accurate receipt, storage, and retrieval of inventory and non-inventory materials.
Interpret various order inputs and computer instructions to accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) computer commands and execute directed activities such as inventory, receiving, put‑away, pick, and order fulfilment.
Support both operational floor activities and advanced warehouse system/administrative processes requiring higher system proficiency.
Use WMS systems in conjunction with Office Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, etc.) to perform higher‑level tasks such as performing inbound receipts against Purchase Orders, creating Bill of Ladings, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Slips, keying production job runs, processing Returns, and Order Management/Release functions.
Utilize Office 365 Suite applications to communicate with internal and external peers, partners, vendors, and customers.
Perform accurate inventory transactions/movements by executing scanning of bar codes or similar fields to match systematic moves to physical relocations.
Initiate and comprehend computer instructions and handle exceptions.
Relocate material physically from/to various locations using material handling equipment (non‑forklift), potentially requiring lifting and stacking.
Sign inbound freight bills noting damages and/or discrepancies.
Validate partial orders picked and consolidate into a master order when necessary.
Operate WMS‑directed pack station to print shipping documents and labels.
Operate stand‑alone shipping manifest stations (i.e., Fed Ex) to create and ship orders outside of WMS system, produce shipping labels, update orders accordingly in WMS and close shipments as required.
Assume responsibility for inventory accuracy in multiple functions such as pick, pack, and inbound receipt.
Process return goods per standard operating procedures.
Create and ensure accuracy of required shipping documentation, e.g., Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoices.
Assist with physical inventory activities.
Perform cycle count activities.
Operate mechanical packaging machines.
Execute Bill of Material (BOM) functionality and key production jobs from PRMS.
Maintain various logs of package parts operations.
Perform special tasks and assignments as required by management and supervisory personnel.
Use computer equipment for scanning or general input of commands.
Qualifications Minimum of high school education or GED.
Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed.
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated willingness for continual learning and skill development.
Ability to take instructions from computer-generated tasks.
Familiarity with warehouse scanning equipment or general knowledge of computer equipment for information input.
Ability to work in a team environment to participate in departmental metrics and instructions.
Ability to take instructions and follow directions to assist in order processing activities.
Safety awareness for self and those around them.
Occasionally lift up to 40–55 lbs.
