Inventory Control Specialist

Position: Inventory Control Specialist at Sysco
Ensure accurate inventory management at Sysco as an Inventory Control Specialist. This contract role focuses on cycle counts and maintaining precise records.

This position requires proficiency in inventory control and is essential for effective material management  will perform four cyclical counts annually, address discrepancies, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your meticulous nature will contribute to the integrity of Sysco’s Food Safety Program and support compliance with third-party certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy of in-house inventory counts

• Complete four cyclical counts and one full count each year

• Report and research high-value item discrepancies

• Address errors from Accounts Payable in inventory packets

• Review damage reports and compare with actual warehouse conditions

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year experience in inventory control or warehousing

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Basic PC skills in a Microsoft environment

• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations

• Strong attention to safety and detail
