About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary Part‑Time Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic Supply Chain Operations West team in Edmonton.
Position:
Temporary Part‑Time (0.6 FTE). Start: 2026‑07‑26;
End: 2027‑07‑29.
Salary/Rate of Pay: $21.81 per hour.
Responsibilities- Receive, store and re‑direct all incoming courier packages, goods, supplies and specimens into the Centre departments, warehouse and/or laboratories.
- Inspect supplies/products/packages/blood specimens to ensure accuracy, completeness of paperwork and condition of products in accordance with CBS policies and procedures.
- Update various databases for receipts and returns of inventory items, and process receipt of products using the computerized system (SAP).
- Operate high‑bay reach truck, operate pallet jacks and powered pallet jacks, monitor stock levels and expiry dates, and order products as required.
- Prepare and distribute biomedical waste containers, including completion of required documentation.
- Minimum two years related experience in inventory and/or warehouse.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push carts weighing up to 300 lbs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Strong computer literacy in MS Office and SAP.
- Ability to accurately keep records with attention to detail.
- Experience operating a standing reach truck forklift considered an asset.

Shifts/hours – must be flexible to accommodate assigned shifts based on operational needs; length of shifts varies according to events. Shifts include days, occasional weekends and statutory holidays. Schedule will be Tuesday‑Thursday anywhere from 8am‑4pm.
