Base pay range

CA $70,000.00/yr - CA $90,000.00/yr

Our client is a well‑established Canadian manufacturer expanding its national distribution network with a new facility in Calgary. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who wants the opportunity to build and shape an operation from the ground up. The Calgary site will support customers across Western Canada and will continue to grow as the business scales.

What You Will Do
  • Manage daily operations of a 50,000+ sq. ft. Calgary distribution center.
  • Recruit, coach, and supervise a small team with a focus on safety and productivity.
  • Oversee receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate inbound intermodal freight and outbound LTL, FTL, and customer pickups.
  • Support facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, security, and compliance.
  • Improve manual processes while introducing upgraded systems and tools over time.
  • Work closely with national logistics leadership to align service levels, carrier performance, and inventory availability.
  • Track and report operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement and cost control.
What You Bring
  • Experience managing warehouse or distribution center operations in a hands‑on environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build and develop an engaged team.
  • Comfort working with a manual paper‑based process.
  • Understanding of freight coordination, carrier performance, and customer service expectations.
  • Facility oversight experience, including safety, equipment, and operational readiness.
  • Ability to travel for company training and a valid driver’s license.
