The Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Shipper & Receiver will be essential in receiving, shipping, and processing inventory within our facility. We are looking for a positive, energetic individual who enjoys collaborating with others and is eager to contribute to a successful team.
The position is for an open vacancy.
The Successful Applicant Will
- Accurately enter and maintain warehouse data, including KPIs, cycle count records, and receiving information, within company systems.
- Generate and print pick/pack documentation to support order fulfillment activities.
- Adhere to all Food Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Inspect incoming packaging and report damaged goods to the shipping carrier and Warehouse Manager.
- Unpack products and organize shipments for receipt.
- Compare quantities and identification numbers of goods against orders for accuracy; report discrepancies.
- Ensure physical products match packing slips and purchase orders.
- Properly store received goods and facilitate inventory movements within the warehouse.
- Pick orders accurately and package products securely to minimize damage during transit.
- Count products, accounting for quantities and lot/serial numbers, and enter results into corresponding sheets.
- Perform secondary counts when discrepancies occur and report issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- Stay current on new products and promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including emptying garbage and disposing of waste safely.
- Occasionally cap bottles as needed.
- Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
- Commitment to following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
- Proven experience in warehousing and logistics (1-3 years preferred).
- Skilled in the safe operation of a forklift, reach truck, and pallet lift.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate ERP, inventory management, and warehouse-related systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered an asset.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
