Salary Grade: Hiring Range, Assistant Teaching Professor – Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering – $113,000 – $128,000. Final base salary will reflect individual candidate’s experience and qualifications.

- Preparing and delivering lecture and tutorials
- Preparing and marking assignments, tests and examinations

Teaching: 70% of the total workload, Service: 20%, Other: 10%.
Qualifications- PhD in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a strong academic background and an established record of excellence in teaching.
- Preference for expertise in mechatronics, electric circuits, and electronics.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer, or eligible to register in Ontario or another Canadian province.
- Strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions.
- Skills in integrating technology into teaching and demonstrating those skills in the university’s web‑centric and mobile learning environment.
- Proven commitment to providing innovative and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Evidence of ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
This position falls within the bargaining unit represented by the UOIT Faculty Association and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the University and the UOIT Faculty Association. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience, and annual salary increases are administered as per the collective agreement.
