Technical Lab Supervisor - Environmental Focus

Lead environmental compliance and lab operations as a Technical Lab Supervisor. Ensure effective analysis practices that support product quality and sustainable performance.

You will manage the daily operations of the Technical Lab in a unionized setting, focusing on maintaining ISO 14001:2015 compliance and improving environmental management systems. This role requires effective people leadership to ensure lab methods and equipment reliability while fostering a culture of safety within the team and executing regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive continuous improvement of EMS processes

• Maintain operational controls and compliance evaluations

• Oversee internal and external environmental reporting

• Manage team schedules and performance in a union environment

• Validate and publish lab results accurately

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or related science

• Supervisory experience in a unionized environment is beneficial

• Knowledge of QA testing methods for pulp and paper

• Understanding of regulatory parameters and auditing processes

• Self-driven with strong problem-solving abilities
