The RSPI Clerk, under the direction of the Health Information Management Supervisor, carries out critical administrative tasks including registration, phone assistance, and health record management. You will interview patients, ensure accurate data entry, and oversee vital telecommunication processes. This position is integral to maintaining the confidentiality and accuracy of health records and facilitating patient navigation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate patient registration and verify necessary forms
• Manage switchboard operations and direct patient inquiries
• Review and audit health records for compliance
• Process payments and manage trust accounts
• Provide guidance and support to patients and their families
Requirements:
• Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Medical Terminology Certificate is required
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
• Keyboarding skills of at least 40 wpm required
