Position: Substitute Teacher Roles in GYPSD
Become a vital part of the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division as a Substitute Teacher for the  school year. Engage students and follow structured lesson plans across various zones in Alberta.

The GYPSD is seeking dedicated Substitute Teachers for Lobstick, Edson, Hinton, Jasper, and Grande Cache. This role requires a Bachelor of Education and a valid Alberta Teaching License to maintain a safe learning environment. You will follow lesson plans or create your own while ensuring effective classroom management and clear communication with staff and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold a safe and productive learning environment

• Follow or create lesson plans per Alberta Education guidelines

• Maintain classroom order and student engagement

• Communicate effectively with absent teachers and principals

• Support with marking assignments and preparing materials

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education degree

• Valid Alberta Teaching License

• Excellent classroom management skills

• Ability to work in multi-grade classrooms considered an asset

• Understanding of GYPSD policies and procedures
