Position: Secondary Teacher for Mathematics & Science Grades 6/7
Join Ecole Pine Grove Middle School in Edson, Alberta as a Secondary Teacher for Mathematics & Science, starting September 1, 2026. This temporary role offers an opportunity to foster student-centered learning and develop inclusive educational practices.

In this 1.0 FTE position, you will design and prepare lessons based on the curriculum while utilizing various teaching methods. Your responsibilities include evaluating student performance and maintaining communication with parents to ensure optimal educational outcomes. Experience in Life Skills/Intervention Programming is preferred for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in secondary Mathematics & Science

• Develop creative lesson plans tailored to the curriculum

• Promote an inclusive learning environment

• Assess student knowledge and provide feedback

• Communicate effectively with parents about student progress

Requirements:

• Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education essential

• Familiarity with Teaching Quality Standard (TQS)

• Experience in teaching Social Studies is beneficial

• A commitment to ongoing professional development
