As part of the role, you will monitor forestry activities and develop management plans that align with provincial legislation. Represent the region in policy discussions while handling audits and conflict resolution between interest groups. Flexibility in work hours is required, especially for wildfire tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor compliance with Forest Management Plans and guidelines
• Foster communication with the public and First Nations
• Mediate local issues among various stakeholders
• Conduct operational audits on timber harvesting
• Participate in policy and regulation development for forestry
Requirements:
• Degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or similar
• Minimum of four years' experience in relevant field
• Class 5 Driver’s License and related certifications
• Registration eligibility with regional forestry association
• Capable of strategic partnership development
