Overview

Production Supervisors are responsible for directly overseeing a team of associates and/or technicians who are accountable for meeting customer demands. They set and delegate day‑to‑day tasks to achieve operational objectives and lead, develop, train, coach, and assess team members. They schedule resources, monitor production and work quality, and coach on performance while directly monitoring daily, weekly & monthly KPIs and collaborating with the team in achieving goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify and deploy technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including engagement of external resources.
  • Ensure operational staff is qualified and adequately trained.
  • Research customer impact issues, provide root cause and corrective action.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to elevate issue resolution, share production status, and other instances.
  • Facilitate fair and effective hiring process.
  • Execute customer driven requirements.
  • Lead and develop a diverse team, motivating, mentoring and coaching within WWT's Integrated Management Principles and Core Values.
  • Conduct leadership activities (One‑On‑Ones, Employee Reviews, etc.).
  • Evaluate team member performance and provide feedback.
  • Engage team during each shift to maintain safety, quality and attendance performance.
  • Promote trust and HPT through coaching, appreciation and recognition.
  • Proactively plan upcoming production work.
  • Exercise sound judgment to ensure SLA’s and KPI targets are met by monitoring daily, weekly and monthly production goals.
  • Engage fully with enabling policy, process, standards and governance.
  • Address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area.
  • Manage escalations from team & customers.
  • Drive collaborative activities through operations, order operations, logistics and support teams to standardize operational efficiencies.
  • Build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives, providing needed support.
  • Share best practices across shifts and among the department.
  • Drive training and integration of team, motivating and inspiring forward progress.
  • Leverage peers and associates by sourcing and nurturing ideas, rolling them into improvement plans.
  • Participate in recruitment activities for team.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • 2–5 years of previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with telecommunications or electrical highly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of LEAN methodology and concepts preferred.
  • Overall planning and execution of enhancing quality and customer service.
  • Product progress reports.
  • Supervision of medium‑size teams (15–25 direct reports on average).

  • Knowledge of processes for ordering, shipping, and warehousing materials.
