The Nondestructive Testing (NDT) technician will independently perform inspections using advanced NDT techniques such as Phased Array UT, CR, and DR to identify corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions according to specific written criteria. The technician will interpret inspection results, report findings, and communicate processes and results to customers.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and practices, and alerting others to potential hazards.
  • Perform all duties as assigned, adhering to TEAM’s Core Values and Critical Choices.
  • Supervise apprentices on the job site.
  • Maintain advanced NDT certification.
  • Perform NDT inspections for which certified.
  • Interpret and report inspection results.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least one advanced NDT method.
  • Certified to Level II in at least one method (UTPA, CR, DR, ET).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computerized equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Travel requirement: 0-75%.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
Work Conditions
  • Position based out of a branch or site location.
  • Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment.
  • Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and clients.
  • Work around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Must wear safety equipment as required.
  • Potential travel to multiple job sites and tolerate climate changes.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, climb, and perform manual tasks.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Sufficient vision and manual dexterity for inspections and routine duties.
  • Mobility to access various environments, including elevated platforms.
  • Ability to focus and multitask effectively.
