Responsibilities- As a Crew Lead you are responsible for coordinating residential installations of each system efficiently, in a timely and quality manner.
- Demonstrate good leadership, communication, and documentation skills while working on the roof.
- Supervisor responsibilities for the entire installation project and supervision of safety on the job.
- Complete installation on various roof types as well as ground mounts.
- Supervise quality and efficiency of work performed on site.
- Communicate with Roof Lead and Branch Manager on any changes needed to be performed.
- Mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
- Thoroughly and completely fill out job documents and collect data and photos for each job.
- Foster teamwork to improve productivity and complete projects.
- Drive Company vehicle to and from jobs safely; manage truck tools and material inventory.
- Supervise troubleshooting and repair of projects; ensure site cleanup.
- May perform required travel for extended periods.
- Provide and maintain a current driver s license and a clean driving record to operate a Company vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1+ year experience, including at least 6 months of leading a crew.
- Must have electrical and roof racking experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Good motivation with an emphasis on productivity, detail, and safety.
- Able to work safely with heights on ladders and in confined areas.
- Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops, and stand for long periods.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday.
- Attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and regular, reliable attendance.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment; valid state driver s license with a clean driving record.
- Special Skills & Training:
Well skilled with power and hand tools and able to train others on safe use.
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Stand, walk, and climb for extended periods; work on ladders, scaffolds, or poles.
- Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl; bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
- Repeat movements; see details at close range; distinguish colors and shades.
- Lift 50+ pounds; move, lift, push, or carry heavy objects; use stamina to work long shifts.
- Maintain balance and stability in various positions; react quickly with hands and feet.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel for business purposes; if required to travel, must have a valid Driver’s License/Insurance and ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
