Position Summary
The Person al Trainer will be responsible for planning and leading a range of individualized or group exercise/activity sessions for clients in a fitness specialty area in order to assist them in establishing and reaching their fitness/wellness goals. The Person al Trainer will promote member wellness in accordance with the YMCA policies and procedures while creating a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment.

- Solicits and is open to informal learning opportunities to gain insight (e.g., performance feedback, coaching, and stretch assignments).
- Acts in alignment with personal and organizational values in all situations.
- Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and safely supervise personal training activities.
- Must be able to coordinate a variety of large and small tasks simultaneously and handle tension and a stress in a positive manner.
- Must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to respond swiftly in an emergency situation.
