Responsibilities- Prepare daily production schedules
- Issue all work orders per production schedule
- Participate with Material Requirement Planning improvements/implementation team
- Assist with cycle counting/bar coding
- Ensure integrity of data entry
- Train staff to function in the absence of others
- Participate with inventories
- Estimate materials and labor required for production
- Coordinate activities with warehouse and production units
- Coordinate traffic flow of supplies
- Monitor production progress
- Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
- Prepare and maintain progress and other reports
- Create, maintain, and ensure execution of the production schedule
- Review long-term forecasts to identify and mitigate capacity/material issues and recommend action
- Resolve worker problems, complaints and grievances with management or subordinates
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
- Increase worker efficiency and production rates
- Ensure work orders are completed in a timely fashion, within budget
- Coordinate operations and activities with other supervisors
- Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees
- Review demand and supply to understand bottlenecks and propose capacity improvements
- Participate in business planning meetings for future periods
- Identify improvements and support stock recommendations to enable a pull system and reduce lead-times
- Analyze weekly, monthly, and future capacity to optimize product loading
- Manage cycle count activities to ensure accurate inventory
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules to determine production requirements
- Maintain awareness and management of EMS (Environmental Management System) and QMS (Quality Management System) as stated in relevant manuals
- Adhere to Quality Management System requirements
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction, communication, teamwork, and problem solving
- Ability to work under pressure with energy and resilience
- Ethics, integrity, accountability, and dependability
- Participation in required Flex-N-Gate training and systems (e.g., CHRF, CMS, PLM, SAP-like processes, IC/CR/PO release, APQP, and quality manuals)
- Manual dexterity to operate a desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime as required
- Work on the production floor
