A floater utility operator is a versatile and skilled employee who can operate all machines in the production line and fill in for other positions as needed. The role involves ensuring the quality and efficiency of the products while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Flexibility and adaptability to changing work demands and schedules are also essential.
- Perform machine set‑up, operation, and maintenance according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor product quality and make adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during production.
- Assist other operators and team members as required.
- Follow safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Report incidents, accidents, or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Coordinate with other operators, technicians, engineers, and managers to ensure smooth operation of the facility or plant.
- Proven experience operating different machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations for operating different machines.
- Skills in troubleshooting, problem solving, and quality control.
